Sugar is addictive
Refined sugar is highly addictive, so it is going to be hard to give up. Harmful sugar will trigger your insulin secretion. Eating sugar, be it in candy, juices, cerials, sodas or desserts is going to cause an insulin spike. Insulin is going to promote calorie storage in the form of fat and it will suppress human growth hormone (HGH). HGH is what you want to build muscle and keep you motivated to do your exercise routine every day. Refined sugar is going to block the effectiveness of your weight loss program and reduce muscle growth rate.
OMAD and sugar
OMAD (one meal a day) might help you cut the addiction progressively, even if you still eat some desserts with your meal because you will reduce your insulin spikes to only one a day.
Once you start an OMAD regimen you will notice that you have more energy in your workouts. In fact, I felt that my body was asking me for intense activity. I was happy to oblige. But don’t take it only from me, listen to Parkour experts the Tap brothers. They do some pretty spectacular acrobatics while keeping a lean and flexible body. Controlling your sugar intake is a must!
